Flemish Ports Day 2011

On the second Flemish Ports Day on Saturday 25 June 2011 the ports of Ostend, Zeebrugge, Ghent and Antwerp open their doors. A unique opportunity to discover the hustle and bustle in the Flemish ports.

In Ostend port you can learn more about the Belgian Coast Guard structure and its partners. You may also watch the operators of the Maritime Rescue and Coordination Centre (MRCC) at work. The MRCC is the first point of contact for vessels in distress. It coordinates rescue operations and deploys all the coast guard partners that can offer assistance.

Meeting place is the big tent located at Maritiem Plein 3. Guided tours start every hour. Doors open at 10 am and close at 05pm.
